The Most Fabulous of Weekends: Weekend 7

Sunday: Aleca told me when we went to bed last night [this morning] that she would probably be up before 11a because that seems to be the latest she can ever sleep. I was going to set an alarm to be up before her but I decided against it because I figured I'd be up around the same time. Either way, I had the breakfast tray and plates all set out so if she was too hungry to wait, she could always start without me. It ended up that we actually did wake up almost at the exact same time: a little after 11:30a. Go figure.
We unanimously agreed that today was going to be a stay-in-our-pjs-and-watch-movies-all-day kind of day. So we had a very slow breakfast, I had a second bowl of coffee (a first for me), we ate the Ferrero Rocher chocolates that Lionel left for us, and then we crashed on the couch. We fiddled around with the TV for a bit and eventually decided to check out the family's movie collection. Aleca saw the American Heath Ledger film "A Knight's Tale" and it was game over- we HAD to watch that... and in english. haha So the two of us spent the next two and half to three hours watching "A Knight's Tale," flipping through magazines, and uploading pictures from yesterday's hike. It was a much needed day of relaxation.
We did start to get hungry at one point so I managed to put together a light lunch. We split the rest of the white asparagus loaf, an apple, and some bread and cheese. And of course, more coffee. We kept up this routine of taking it as easy as possible until about 5p and then decided that we should probably get dressed. Pretty soon after that, I wrote directions for Aleca to walk back to the Residence Halls, we said bye and thanks, and she headed 'home.' I had the house to myself after that, and I used the time to clean up the little mess we made, eat a peach yogurt, turn on classic music, and work on my blog.
Not too long afterwards I heard the family pull up. It was gaining on 7p so after they got in and unpacked a tiny bit, everyone pretty much got to work on getting dinner ready and setting the table. We had a very nice dinner together of carrot, onion, and some sort of mild pepper soup (with cream of course), a plate of tiny elbow noodles in a light chunky tomato and herb sauce, a green salad, and yogurts for dessert (black currant for me tonight). We also each had a chocolate covered cereal treat that Guilhem had learned how to make this past weekend. It was an excellent evening.
Afterwards, I went up to my room and got on skype. When I woke up this morning [afternoon] I turned on my phone and saw that I had a message from my family. My dad had left me a message last night around 11p saying that the whole family was gathered around skype with our neighbors John and Mary Ann Sanders and they were hoping I was around to get on. :( Of course, they knew there was a chance that I wouldn't get the message that night so they said it was no big deal if I couldn't make it, but still I was bummed that I missed that. So tonight when I logged on to skype, who should be there but my whole family AND John and Mary Ann all enjoying some of the treats I sent home!! I think I talked with them for close to 2 hours and I couldn't have been happier to end my day that way. :)
